Thanks for joining me! First off, I want to start with the “why” of my decision to start blogging. Although I may not be that good of a writer, I find just clacking away at a keyboard extremely soothing. It’s funny, because I work in health insurance and all I do at work is type and stare at a screen all day, yet I find happiness in freely expressing my thoughts. I felt compelled to start a blog, because I felt that the best kind of therapy for me would be writing out how I felt. Whether that be something funny my kids said/did, how awesome I’m doing with my cooking lately, or if I’m just feeling myself and I think my outfit is cute, it feels good to let it all out there! These days, it feels like a million different problems are being thrown at me from all directions, and it feels good to have control of something.
Funny story: when I was about 15, I considered myself a decent writer. Albeit, I wrote a whole book about a teenage girl who fell in love with a vampire, then found out she was a vampire herself (Twilight was a heavy influence around that time, in case you were wondering). It was the cringiest, cheesiest book a teenage girl could have written, but I thought it was pretty damn good! And so were the teachers I showed the notebook to, but now I can’t help but think back to how they had the biggest, twisted grins on their faces when they handed the notebook back and said that it was, “pretty good.” Hmm..
Anyways, what can you expect from this blog? You might stumble upon posts where I explain really cool crafts you can do at home with the kiddos. You might even see some posts about new or staple recipes that are a huge hit for the whole family. If you like reading posts where I explain my scattered thoughts from the past week, then this might be your place, and maybe we should be friends. I’m not kidding when I say hot mess is an understatement that best describes me.
I hope you stick around, and subscribe to the newsletter so you don’t miss a single post! Also, if you have any thoughts, feel free to leave a comment below or visit my Instagram.
